Frustration - Visa Credit Card - language

Hi
Ok Im new to this forum it was suggested by a friend! Im glad I found it though because life became extra frustrating today!
I need to register my visa card but visa keep switching to German when I enter Switzerland as my country!
I am in the middle of my second Germand course and find it difficult to keep an conversation going never mind read T&Cs on a form!
I could guess it but with somethings like this Id prefer to know exactly what im signing so to speak!
can anyone help?
i would appreciate it so much if anyone has any ways around this!
It's happened before and I usually find a way around it but now Im just getting annoyed
thanks a million

Re: Frustration

I emphatise with you. I often use Google Translate ( set German to English and then copy and paste or enter the www.sitename.ch ) to translate bits of information, even a whole web page ( not perfect, but good enough for most instances ).

Re: Frustration - Visa Credit Card - language

I would just skip all that T & C part which is pretty much standard and applies to all and just look for the place where you have to fill in your own details and then sign, seal and deliver it.

You can call the Visa card provider and ask for an english speaking rep. to talk you through it.

might not be a direct solution to your query, but just to let you know.. SBB offers a VISA card with every Half-Fare card or GA card.

I have been using the same since 4 months, and have had no complaints. They even helped me in filling out the application form.

Cheers!!

Re: Frustration - Visa Credit Card - language

One option could be to seek help from a work colleague or may be someone who speaks fluent German to help you with filling the form & clarify your doubts.

Another option is to contact Visa via E-mail at: enquiries.europe@visa.com or no Tel: +44 (0)20 7795 5777 (Source::http://www.visaeurope.com/contact/ma...?src=home_page)
