German audio books for children.

We have bought our twins (6) MP3 players for Christmas and I am looking for story websites in German, which we can download for them, preferbly free of charge or for a small fee.

We have found http://storynory.com/ in English, but I am looking for something similar in German. Any ideas?

Maybe you can find what you are looking for here:

http://www.podcast.de/kategorie/11/K...6+Jugendliche/

At the same site you can find four wonderful video podcasts for children. My children love them!

Re: German audio books for children.

hello,
i found your post by goggling for "german audio books subtitles".
I think this way is a good one for learning a foreign language. I guess this is how I learned English, watching Cartoon Network and Dallas TV series (while reading my mother tongue subtitles) when I was a child.

I found this website too http://www.bookbox.com/free-stuff/mp3. They have also videos on youtube.

I know it is a 3 year old post but I hope it helps. And I am looking for more; but for my level of German now I think they are ok.

Re: German audio books for children.

are you sure that you want audiobooks (Hörbücher) and not radio plays (Hörspiele), which is what children normally listen to?
