| | An urgent help with writing a brief note to someone who park at our parking area
Hello, it happens again and again and seems that the same visitor of one of our neighbour is constantly taking our parking space. we are just back home and found that we have no space for our own care. today is Saturday so i dont want to bother our Hauswart by making a call to him.
Can anyone help with translating this note:
Hello, this is my reserved parking space. Please move your car. Thanks!
"Hallo, dies ist mein reservierter Parkplatz. Bitte bewegen Sie Ihr Auto. Vielen Dank!"
Thanks a lot. It is not for this time only, I want to post a note to the car owner so he will notice that before he do it again next time.

Why not go and disturb your neighbour and demand that the car be moved right away so you can park your car there?
"Bitten Sie hier nicht parken" for a note will suffice.

Park your car behind theirs if you can and let them come and find you to move it.
If not, I would def go to the neighbours and ask for it to be moved. Don't use the note though.

thanks but the problem is i dont know which neighbour's guest the car owner is, i only know that it helps every sat or sun so i think it is not our neighbour but is someone who is visiting them
its so troublemsome as there are no other space that i can park my car now as the free space is full of visitor's car as well...

Are you able to park directly behind the offending car without causing an obstruction?
btw - other threads have suggested putting an Einzahlungschein on the windscreen! |

"Hallo, dies ist mein reservierter Parkplatz. Bitte bewegen Sie Ihr Auto. Vielen Dank!" | | | | | "Bitte bewegen Sie Ihr Auto" sounds a bit funny, although it makes clear what you mean. "Bitte verschieben Sie Ihr Auto" oder "Bitte parkieren Sie woanders" is better; if in Germany or Austria, not in Switzerland, please replace "parkieren" with "parken".
Marie's attempt is nice but -- please don't take this personally -- even funnier. If you want to take the approach of using "bitten" as a verb, then write, "Wir bitten Sie, hier nicht zu parken."

Can you buy a "Private" sign and put it on the parking space? Something to blosk the space like a cone?
Or you may have to whack a note on it and keep an eye out to see who comes out.

Or you may have to whack a note on it and keep an eye out to see who comes out. | | | | | It is very easy to make a sign with your plate number, place it on a stick, and in the ground. You can buy all the materials you need at Bau and Hobby. There are also ready made signs sold that say "privat".
If there is no sign, someone might assume it is a visitor's spot. When I don't see a plate number or a privat sign, I think it is a visitor's space. There is nothing to lead me to think otherwise.
If the person has been parking there and you have not made a complaint thus far, they have no way of knowing they are in the wrong.
I suggest you leave a note on the car explaining that it is a private parking space and requesting they do not park there again. You should see to the signage on Monday. The property manager can take care of this, or the Hauswart can too. It is quite simple, really.
It is also possible to track down the owner using the plate number but obviously if they are not home this won't do you much good.
If you are really in need of your parking space, then you have to disturb the Hauswart. If you have many neighbours, it is unlikely you can knock on everyone's door to see who has a visitor.
Alternatively you can put a note in the mailbox of all your neighbours reminding them to tell their friend that your parking space is reserved. You should mention the model of the car and the plate number.

Maybe also look into some private firms which will tow away cars for next time.

| | | | | It is correct. And scratch the note on the car itself, so that he does not forget it next time :-D

We actually did exactly that once and then of course the Swiss person who had taken our spot got extremely upset with us and stared yelling at us wondering how dare we have a spot that isn't marked! Yep, the Swiss are never wrong :-) | Quote: | | | | | I would do exactly the same thing!! | | | | |

Go and knock on every neighbours door until you find out who it belongs to!
If you have an evil sense of humor like me then get a tow rope and drag it to a crossroads and leave it in the middle. Then call the police that the car is blocking the road. I did this a couple of times in another country where I had a couple of ar$e h*l£s who kept parking in my private car park.

In Switzerland you can be sure someone will watch you playing your nasty trick, and that may cause serious problems because moving other people's property plus endangering traffic are way higher up in the scale than taking someone else's reserved parking space.

Get a fine artists painbrush and a small tin of paint stripper. Remember, it's not so much what you say but how you say it.
