I studied at Bellingua as well and it's hard, fast, every week you need to pass the test,so you can carry on,but it did worth it very much. They also help you to prepare for final exams and Certificates such as Goethe Zertifikat.I can only recommend and they also do evening classes or private classes. Its a one of the best schools in Zurich.

Tried out a language school called InFront Sprachstudio. It's in Lowenstrasse (next to Zurich main train station) and offers private lessons plus lessons for small groups (3 people) or larger groups (up to 10 people max).

Prices very reasonable, quality of teaching was very high and was personalised. Teacher was natives. Weekend lessons are also possible.

Re: German language school recommendations in Zurich area

I followed classes in Flying Teachers and I love it!
However, it depends a lot on the teacher you get, but I think that's for all the language schools. It is also probably the cheapest you can find in Zurich (?).

Re: German language school recommendations in Zurich area

I'll have to go and recommend Bellingua, like everyone else did.

It's definitely for motivated people. They'll give you homework and test you every couple weeks on what you've learned. I think it's great because it keeps you studying and encourages you to give your best. The downside is that it can get a little bit stressful if you are also working full-time and don't have time to study and do homework. A few guys in my class had crazy schedules and would miss classes because they had to work and they had a hard time keeping up with the rest of us, since most people are very focused.

I think they have a "get you money back policy" too, if you didn't like it after one week.

Re: German language school recommendations in Zurich area

Has anybody tried iTalk Sprachschule near Zurich HB? Seen a few adverts on the trams recently and on their website they have semi-intensive courses from 240 CHF/month for 4 hours per week (focus is on conversation and improving speaking skills rather than grammar etc. I think). Seems like good value but any reviews would be very helpful!

Bump - looking at their intensive (4 evenings a week) classes, and any feedback from them in the past would be appreciated.
