English to German Translation Needed: Notice to Vacate Apartment Letter

We are getting ready to move out of our apartment and I need to send a "notice to vacate" letter written in German to the property management company. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate your time and effort. It is only a few sentences and can hopefully help another expat going through this process at another time. Thanks much for your help.

Here is what needs to be translated:

This letter will constitute written notice of our intention to vacate our apartment on 31.07.2010. We understand that there is a three-month termination period and we are responsible for finding a suitable tenant since we will be vacating before the end of the termination period. Please forward all paperwork required for any interested tenants and the forms for our security deposit refund to our current address. We appreciate your help with this quick transition.

And, just out of curiosity, am I right to assume this letter must be written in German?

Thanks again.

you can use Google Translate (http://translate.google.com), although I can't vouch for its accuracy...
its pretty awesome though, being able to translate everything, right from text to complete websites!

Re: English to German Translation Needed: Notice to Vacate Apartment Letter

* Just a quick note: You cannot give notice to 31.07.2010, as you do have the 3 month termination period and that would be 2 months. Your notice will need to take that into account - that is why my translation gives notice to 31.08.2010 and then explains that you would like to vacate as per 31.07.2010, and asks for all relevant forms for interested persons to be sent to you.

Erm... I would definitely recommend Google Translate as a starting point for texts that you need to understand - but definitely NOT for important texts/letters that you will send out! It can make for some amusing (or not) misunderstandings...
