French help urgent please!

Morning. Trying to book a fare to Paris online and the payment area asks for security number details from my Amex card but though the site is in English, that bit isn't. Can someone please tell me which numbers they need on the booking? I know it's 4 of something from the front of the card but not sure which 4! Anything else I am missing from below? Thanks.

Re: French help urgent please!

http://translate.google.com is your friend.

For American Express
The CVC is the four digits on the front side of the card.

The CVC is used in order to secure the transaction (bank or payment). It is not stored.

If you use an e-card number, you must verify that the software downloaded from the website of your bank is up to date with the principle of the cryptogram. If not, download the new version (Later on 1 January 2005).

Re: French help urgent please!

Thanks. I thought that it was those first 4 digits but when I entered them it still wasn't happy. Usually have no problem with Amex or Visa online so wondering if I am missing something. Might have to go the bank transfer option.

Re: French help urgent please!

The CVS on my card is on the back, is in smaller type and is seven digits split into 4 & 3 (i.e. xxxx xxx). Maybe that helps?

Its here on the Amex: https://checkupsoftware.com/images/E...mexCardBig.gif

Re: French help urgent please!

On the back mine is xxxx xxxxxx xxxxx

Just realised there are 4 more digits on the front, normal font, right hand side above Amex logo so tried them too, still no joy. Maybe it doesn't like Australian cards?!

Re: French help urgent please!

Thanks folks, seems it just isn't happening. Used the correct number on Amex, no joy, tried the Visa again, not happy with that either and that one I have definitely used a thousand times so there is something happening on the wesbite that I don't know about. Have tried to refresh as well but still doesn't work.

KLM also had similar fares so maybe I will see if their site will work.

Thanks for all assistance.

Re: French help urgent please!

Update.....

It worked with KLM so who knows!! Used Amex, no problem. Even appears to be the same flights, codeshare I guess.

So I'm off to Paris on Sunday!
