Does anyone know how to bring a car(LHD) to UK(RHD)?

and is it worth to bring it?

My initial idea was selling current left-hand driving car here in Switzerland.
and buying new one in UK.

Please give your opinion or share your experiences.

Do that. Less paperwork, more straight forward organising insurance etc..
Plus with the CHF/GBP rate at the moment you will probably be able to buy the same car a fair bit less in the UK than you sell if for here.
And the steering wheel will be on the right side.

I currently have my UK car in CH. Paperwork was an issue, steering wheel is on the wrong side. The only thing that's stopping me from switching is affording to replace it with a Swiss car at the moment!

So why don't you swap cars?

Seriously though, sell here and buy a heap one there, 2nd hand cars in the UK are very cheap right now. As will the insurance for a RHD compared to a LHD car.

I have no experience permanently importing a LHD car into the UK but I would definitely keep it for a while just to perplex the locals.

I really enjoyed the WTF moment last year when we were approaching a roundabout and a car stopped right in front of us whilst heading for the next exit with both driver and passenger gawking at us. Couldn't figure it out at first but then realised they were looking at my wife in the drivers seat reading the newspaper. Following that we've had lots of fun watching the reactions of other drivers as she checks her make-up in the mirror, uses the phone, etc.

Average on Autoscout is around 10,000 CHFs, but they vary a lot.

And in the UK here
Average for one age of mine approx 3,500 GBP

So approx half the price for fairly similar cars!

(Mines black, currently 90,000miles/145,000 km, reg late 2002 [UK 52 plate])

Sorry looks a nice car, but not quite what i'd be looking for plus wouldn't have the cash to make up difference at the moment.

Selling here and buying in the UK would definitely be the easiest / most cost effective way. Hope you get it sorted ok..
