Harvard, without doubt. Pack you bag and GO!!!

I am finishing my Bachelor studies at ETH Zurich as exchange student. I was talking with Berkley University for some time, just to see if that would be possible for me. Btw, Berkley is one of the best to do IT stuff, that's what I am studying. And even if I would be accepted, I would probably couldn't do that because I can not afford this kind of school and living cost.

If you managed to get into Harvard University and for your field is pretty much number one university, I would already would not give much thoughts about anything else. You got pretty much free studies and even scholarship, which is probably not enough to cover living costs. But you got a lot.

You should not be thinking which is country is better to stay, is it US or maybe Swiss. Yeah probably Swiss at this moment has more to offer than US. But studies takes time and after that you choose the offer you get and it might be lots of different countries.

So use KISS principle, Keep It Simple, Stupid.

The other way is get into Swiss university and apply for exchange program, thats a good way to try other universities.

If you are not sure you want to stay in Switzerland long-term, go to Harvard. It will open a lot more doors, and not just in the US. Good luck.

Harvard in Cambridge, MA? I don't think there is a contest really. As others have said: pack up! But be aware that part of the US is also very expensive. 500 a month isn't very much at all.

The USA has a massive amount of debt to the rest of the world (ie China), it's been living of borrowed money for decades.
At some point it will have to pay of this debt. Do you really want to go there and help them pay this debt ?

STAY IN SWITZERLAND!

Last time I checked Harvard was a privately-run business. Which means that if they decide to to attract the best and brightest by waiving tuition they can do so at their discretion - none of your precious tax dollars were harmed/wasted by that decision.
And the US economy benefits a lot from highly educated people staying in the US after their studies.

I would definitely choose Harvard. Even if it turns out you don't like living in the US you can move at the end of your studies, as a degree from that university will likely open many doors around the world for your career. Best of luck!

Go to the US. American Universities offer by far more resources than Swiss ones. In addition, you'll be also benefiting from a wider rage of extracurricular activities and the opportunity to meet and befriend a more diverse group of people. Life would be overall easier and more fun (with great opportunities awaiting for you after graduating).
