Godspeed, Mr Hsiang. May you succeed in your future professional and personal endeavours (note that there is no shame in admitting that you will own a Mercedes, or will it be a Porsche?). Hopefully you will still find some spare time to continue your study of Japanese.

Ahh Hsiang, am sorry to hear that you will definitely be leaving. Who will I go to now for insider tips on SE Asian food and ingredients?

Your informative posts and wit will be missed.

All the best for your new chapter in life. Stuttgart isnt too far, will definitely pop down there and we can check out the dim sum scene. If not, see you back home buddy.

I lived in Stuttgart for a year (and you can pop UP there in about 2.5 hours); there is no dim sum scene. Any place offering it just steams it from frozen, and they got that from a supermarket.

Tao Tao (centre of town) can be persuaded to make it for real if you book. King's Palace in Vaihingen will make it if ordered in advance and at least 30 of you book. They may negotiate on that number. This was one year ago; maybe something new has opened.

Hsiang, I've always enjoyed your posts. Hope you'll be back, at least occasionally, to fill us in on your post-CH life. We'll keep your seat warm buddy.
Eco, for value for money, you're the Mod to beat now, bar none. I've enjoyed your penetrating insights, and for the record, this collection left me howling. I will certainly drop in with a couple of post-paradise updates

You go to eleven!
M'am, you were always one of my favourite forummers, bawdily funny without being obscene, ladylike without being fluffy, opinioned without being judgemental. You're an eleven many, many times over, and i thank you too.

Good luck to your new life in Stuttgart.
Haven't felt all that at home either in Switzerland. Left a few months ago and moved to Munich. Feeling very pleased with my decision.
Anyways, welcome to toytowngermany...or maybe you're already on it.
