Just throwing some ideas around and was wondering if anyone has recently had some quotes for moving a whole house lot back to New Zealand or Australia. If so, what was the $$$$$ quoted?
I don't want to go and get quotes as yet but was wanting a general ballpark figure to mull over.

I did a 1/2 40-foot container rental with another family.
We self-packed, self-loaded in CH and self-unloaded in NZ.

The container was delivered to the door in Auckland NZ and left there for 1/2 a day for us to unload. Transport time was something like 6 weeks.

We had no hassles with customs, insurance etc. Was easy.

Cost for our 1/2 share was around 6,000 CHF incl insurance, but this was around 1 1/2 decades ago.

We have gone ahead and got quotes anyway just to see what the damage will be. With 4 small kids we would be getting it all packed and unpacked for us as I can see if I were to do the packing I would be greatly tempted to "wrap" a child and send them by boat!
We haven't made the actual decision as yet but will post amounts for future reference for others.
