If you get the current exchange rate you'll be fine: ~150K. Since Switzerland is so expensive, maintaining your current standard of living may well be less than that. If you're the sole earner, you may find that your overall tax burden is rather higher than Switzerland.'

Where I work, the 175k Chf equivalent in UK is in a range between £68k - £74k. Our UK companies are just outside London (as location in UK can also impact salary)

for Ch to UK I divide by 3. So £66. but that in the north, I would add extra's like travel card... I think that a all zones london pass is about the same price as a GA, so 70k?

I would use 2CHF to £1 which was an exchange rate not so long ago, 10 years ago people actually earned way more in London.

140-150k since your question is not what would give you an equivalent lifestyle rather what would match your current overall package of 200k ( base plus bonus) considering the higher tax rate etc

I am with FMF I reckon about gbp 100k for equivalent standard of living. But you talk about moving BACK to London? Surely you should have a pretty good idea.

The person is on equivalent of 200K CHF it all depends if the company is willing to match. And yes in Australia that amount would only let you maintain status quo if that you may even need an increase.

Other kings would need a lot more.

The op asked for what is an equivalent salary meaning by lifestyle and expected translated salary, not just a currency converter.

When I was living in Surrey, near great Windsor Park, I thought a friend was paying the same for a place in central London - then realised the London place per week was the same as my monthly rent.
The OP did say West London, so that could mean a house on Wentworth.
Mikers, has Australia really become that expensive?
General question: If 150,000 has become the new 120,000chf salary here, what is the new salary in London? For that matter what was the old?

? | | | | | In a word YES! Cost of living there now is comfortably on par with switzerland in the main cities which are all within the top 20-30 most expensive cities in the world now. 10 years ago there was hardly a single city in the top 50

now that that bits out the way, you can get on to everything else, which is a lot more expensive in CH than in the UK.

Holland Park W9 can be 20k a week or £86,667 a month. Holland Park was always considered quite nice even when Notting was considered a dump. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-...hannel=renting
I better not look anywhere really nice, where a King might choose to live!
