tax free car to germany when moving

We are moving to germany by the end of the year. Does anyone know if I can still buy a car from germany and bring it to switzerland and then take with me to germany. I know that if I own car for 6 months, I can take it with me tax free. But is it the same rule if I import it first? Cheers, Jussi
