Hello. Does anyone have any advice for a relocaton company to Sweden from Switzerland that does not overcharge their clients? It is really hard to find

Thanks

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

Hah! I moved in the other direction, from Sthlm to ZRH, and found out that all offers were complete ripoffs... In the end, I sent stuff by regular mail and drove the larger stuff myself.

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

Hi Eric,

I can see that you posted your query quite recently.
We are moving to Sweden (Skåne) from Sion (VS) in early January 2016 and have also started looking for removal companies. How is your search going?

I just received a quote from a Sweden based company for SEK 90.000 (!) for approx. 50m3 (excluding insurance), but it feels quite steep to put it mildly (but I suspect Swiss companies are just as expensive).

Any ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Mvh
Anna

When we moved to Bern in 2014 we used Statsbudkontoret (www.stadsbudskontoret.eu) in Stockholm, it was really cheap! Counting to use them when we probably move back in 2016.

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

I'm using TEXAB a Swedish company. You can go on flyttguiden.se and ask for an offer, I got replies from around six different firms within two days and the price ranged from 17 0000-39 000 for 2 rooms apartment (13 cubic meters of goods).
Good luck

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

Hi,

The cheapest option I got was from Acta Flytt AB – International Movers.

About 300 EUR less then the competitors. I will go with this company.

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

Hello Anna,

I just read this post in the forum. Did you move to Sweden? Do you have any recomendation for a moving company that doesn't charge so much? I am moving from Martigny to Sweden.

Thank you so much for your help.

Veronica

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

Hi Veronica

Try some of these vetted movers. They are professionals so pricing is by industry standard, but you will get real information about the entire process. It is preferable to choose a company from the destination country, as they will be able to assist with all the customs requirements. Also pricing will be a little more transparent.

Alfa Quality Moving - info@alfamoving.se
Aspire Mobility - Rates.se@aspiremobility.com
NFB Sweden - nfb@nfb.se

Hope they can help, make sure you tell the movers that you are getting quotes from several companies, they will hopefully work with you on the rates if they know they have to be more competitive.

For when do you want to move? I may have a trip going as far north as Islo coming up soon.

Re: Moving company to Sweden?

We are also looking for suitable companies.
During our research we found that there might be is a significant benefit in choosing a Swedish moving company (as opposed to a European/global e.g. Hasemkampf) as you will be eligible for a 50% tax deduction on the work (RUT-avdrag). SBK move told us this, waiting to see their formal quote.
