Moving from Zürich to France

Did anyone recently move from Zurich (or german speaking CH) to France?
My moving goods are currently stuck at French Customs because my documents (official deregistration in CH, stating that I lived in CH for the past >10 Years) is in German language (Swiss Authorities in Zurich do not issue such document in French...which I consider normal, neither do French authorities issue documents in German).
All other documents I have (rental contract, previous work contracts, etc.) are certainly also in German language.

Did anyone experience this vicious circle and solved it?

I have a relocation company in charge of this, but they seem unable to find a solution.

How about finding an official translator on the French side to translate your document?

Go to Pages Jaunes and look for "Traducteur assermenté".

Re: Moving from Zürich to France

The customs didn’t ask for a translated document, they wanted the official doc in French or Englisch. The document basically stated my name and the time I lived in CH (a date! It would have looked same in French, also my name).

The French company issued a transfer letter in French eventually (although I had not been transferred but started a new job). This seemed the only solution.

Anyone moving to France from ZH, be prepared for such issue...
