Banking grace period?

I am a US national living in Lugano, and I'm leaving permanently, but I need to keep a bank account open for about a month to finalize some financial matters that can't be resolved immediately.

Does any one know if there is some kind of grace period where UBS will allow an account to remain open for a transition period such as this?

Thanks much.

Re: Banking grace period?

I suspect not, but talk to the bank or your advisor there since they have a special American department who deals with all this as far as I know.

They won't know you have left until you tell them, look at T&C's I suspect you have a month to inform them of any change of address / status.
