Well back to you there ... Being alone sucks and to be honest Swiss people are amongst the least trustworthy, friendly and loyal on Earth. I had enough of so called Swiss Friends (just using me when they need me) and Cheating Swiss Girlfriends .

I guess you would complain about Taxes in Denmark. I also heard about gangs in big cities, shootings, some Russian presence there as well. What else am I missing ?
Look, you do what you feel needs doing. I moved from CH to DK, and it was one of the bigger mistakes in my life. I hope for you that whatever it is you are running away from, you will really leave behind.

OK thanks for your clarification .

Yeah I hope so as well. I tried Ticino, nearby France (Geneva), Nyon (Vaud) and now Lenzburg (Aargau) and never really felt at home nor ease, after the house were I lived until my ~16th birthday was sold and my parents divorced.

And no, I don't believe in CBT or psychoanalysis .

Re: Moving from Switzerland to Denmark and T1 Moving/Export Form

And just a word on the taxes: I had the privilege of being under this expat tax scheme where - in scientific research or above a certain pay grade (70.000 DKK per month I think) - you get 5 (now 7) years of a reduced income tax rate. For me, that was a tax rate of 31% (incl social security which is paid by tax) vs. something like 55% for Danish citizens in the same income bracket. And that's before paying 25% of VAT on everything including groceries.

Compare that to Aargau.

If you are a Danish citizen and if you qualify for this tax regime, I believe you can get this if you have lived outside of Denmark for consecutive 10 years. I am not sure though.

Yeah It's about 10% Taxes + an additionnal 5% for miliary service tax, totaling about 15%. After 30 years I won't be having problems in Denmark either. So still a few months until I can move problem free ...

The whole 25% VAT on everything is crazy I agree, I cannot understand it. Even compared to Germany that is crazy. Plus Germany and Switzerland have reduced VAT for essential goods.

I hope I can also fit in this tax favourable regime. 70'000 DKK per month are a lot though (approx. 10'000 CHF), (much) more than what I currently get in Switzerland. Otherwise it's going to be difficult ...

EDIT: yeah it's 68000 DKK (plus maybe labour market contributions). https://skat.dk/skat.aspx?oid=107050&chk=215693

Re: Moving from Switzerland to Denmark and T1 Moving/Export Form

Damn it. I don't even know where to get such a high salary here in Switzerland as an Electrical Engineer. The max I see on glassdoors and other sites is 51000 DKK ... 57000 DKK. Average is more like 39000 DKK .

I guess if I can get into Banks or something then maybe. Otherwise it seems impossible.

What kind of job did you have @komsomolez ?

Re: Moving from Switzerland to Denmark and T1 Moving/Export Form

My job was something quite specialized in energy.

Not sure what what a bank would do with an electrical engineer. Don't know what the requirements for researchers are to get into this E48 tax thing. Maybe worthwhile checking out with universities like DTU.

And yes, Denmark is expensive and they make you bleed tax-wise. Still can work out for you if private things are compensating for this, but there is a reason most families rely on two full-time jobs. At least the weather is good ...

I can also work in IT if that's better paid. I just don't have any university qualification for it.
Either way I'm sick of employers finding whatever excuse to justify paying low wages .

Yeah, I get your point. Still from what my uncle told me it's not *that* bad, probably around 40% taxes (and his salary is not so low either). Probably depends also in which commune you live in.

I'm not interested in kids as far as women of my generation are just a bunch of cheaters, thanks. Of course those having 2-3 kids need 2-3 salaries. Even more true if they live in big cities. I'm looking at the countryside.

Anyway in Switzerland you cannot possibly buy a house on your own with the salary I currently have, it's just not possible.
