| At that price it may be cheaper or anyway easier to get a moving company to do it? | |

That's the price of a moving company.
If a friend with a C1 driving license can help me then it would be 2 trip and approx. 4000 CHF, plus a huge gift to him

.
If I have to do it myself with a trailer it would be 6 trips and approx. 8000 CHF.

| ~Three years ago OH had the contents of a 1-bed flat moved from Copenhagen to the Geneva area by a local danish removal company and paid just over two thousand euros. I think that was for 15 cubic metres.
He had briefly considered hiring a van and doing the job himself but quickly realised that it really wasn't a realistic option, costing a lot more than the removal service in hire charges and petrol, and would involve a lot of driving as he'd have to return the van!
Although prices will have inevitably gone up a bit since then I'd still suggest contacting a few danish companies based near your end location and ask them for a quote, it might even be possible to move your stuff in a shared load if you can be flexible on dates. | |

That's what my previous company (that gave me the volume estimates) also reccomended: ask a big moving company that can schedule well, be flexible on dates, so that when they come get my stuff they also move somebody's else along the way

.
Problem is I don't know exactly where I will go, and with "Jutland" as destination nobody will even think to give me an offer (they all want exact address, street, floor, etc).
I can give an address just for reference but it's anyway going to be different.
I'm currently working on an EXCEL spreadsheet to estimate weight and volume. With only the big cabinets disassembled, it's sitting around 27 m3. Weight it's very grossely estimated at 3000+ kg. I only started yesterday so it's far from complete. It's missing all the boxes (200 boxes ~ 15-20 m3 extra).
I'm more weight limited than volume limited, even with the second cheapest option (trailer).
To get the required kilometers the second best would be sixt car rental, but at approx. 1200 CHF for 18m3 / 925kg usable (- me so approx. 840 kg usable) it doesn't make much sense (weight limited -> need anyway 5-6 trips).
The best would be if a Friend who has the C1 driving license can help. In that case, rental of truck by sixt Germany (Iveco Daily 7.2t Box+Taillift) is 1000 CHF / 3150kg usable / 36m3 with all kms (3000 km) included. Need only 2 trips with that.
I curse that I didn't do the BE driving license or even the C ...

| We paid 11.000 CHF for a move from Copenhagen to CH two years ago. Swiss company with Czech subcontractor or workers. 4-person household, 50 m3, ca. 250 boxes/small items, incl. packing. | |

Thank you, that seems quite similar to what I have in terms of volume etc.
Except I plan on packing everything up myself and also disassemble the furniture.
At 50m3 did they come with 2 trucks or only 1 huge truck ?

| Holey Danneborg Batman, at that Price it would be cheaper, much cheaper to buy a banger van and do it yourself. Then flog the van and have enough over for at least two beers. | |

Do you actually mean to "buy" or rather to "rent"?
Problem with a "bought" van for a reasonable price (5000 CHF for a 150'000km van ?), once you add insurance and the high likelyhood of having an issue along the way, in one of the 6 trips (6 trips x 2 x 1500 km = 18'000 km -> you also need to do maintenance / service / technical checks / ...), I'm not sure it's worth anymore

.
OT but why am I not getting notifications even if I'm subscribed to this thread ????
