Living in Rütihof (Höngg), thoughts?

We are considering moving to Rütihof mainly because it is good school district. We were “accepted” by an apartment and must decide soon. The area also looks nice and we have multiple recommendations about Höngg from colleagues from the ETHZ, but none from Rütihof.
Our current situation:
We are a small family of three with a daughter going to primary school next year. So, our main motivation to move is to access a good school district. Currently we are living in Dietikon, we’ve been living here for 4 years now and although it has some positive things, the place itself feels like a ghetto and we know that quality of the school district is quite low. We also want to avoid our daughter to grow up thinking that is normal to see people smoking, drinking, and rioting on the train station or other public areas, which is the standard in Dietikon.
By moving to other area, Rütihof, in this case, we want a radical change and avoid what I described from Dietikon. Do you have any experiences in Rütihof or recommendations for living in or near Zurich?

Re: Living in Rütihof (Höngg), thoughts?

Lived in Höngg and Oberengstringen, close to the Badi which I believe also serves Rütihof. I liked both as good family areas, often passed through Rütihof cycling or hiking the woods up there. Felt like a nice area, of course not a city feel. Grünwald is nice as well.

I suppose one would want a car there.

Noise from aircraft is important to note. I got used to it in Engstringen quickly, but when we were back there some weeks ago, I felt it was noisy.

Dietikon is a dump. Get out of there.
