Free Italian lessons

Is it possible to get free Italian lessons as newly moved to Ticino ? Does Canton provide anything like that ?

Re: Free Italian lessons

Not exactly what you were asking for, but Babbel is almost free compared to official courses in schools and will give you some decent basis. I used it to jump from zero to A2 German, spending around 40 CHF instead of more than 1000.

(after a certain level I felt I needed proper courses with real people to talk to).

Anyways, I like that you want to learn the local language right after moving

Re: Free Italian lessons

I say learn the grammar with an application (they are plenty out there, free or inexpensive) and go talk to people outside. Works best for many people with obtaining proficiency in local languages.
