Horses for courses.

So my next problem is what to spend this voucher on... I could easily spend hours walking around in there and still walk out with nothing!
Some sexy lingerie

Seriously? A voucher and you want to buy a torture instrument?
In this second I was just going to write the same...

I would go down to the Delicatessa and indulge in some stuff at the dessert section, like 'tartufi' or some of their chocolate/cake selection.

Re: Epilators

When the voucher will expire?

Keep it on the side and eventually you'll realise that you need something and you will be able to use it. You don't have to use it right away, do you?

Re: Epilators

This is the Neuchatel Globus being referred to and it doesn't have a delicatessan more's the pity. There's a minuscule italian/thai section for dried or jarred food but that's it's limit
The rest of the shop is also pretty limited with a limited selection of lots of stuff.

It lasts for ages, but I'd rather get the most out of it as possible and I figure the best way to do this is use it in the January sales

Re: Epilators

In another thread you wrote about being alone for a few months. Maybe now's the time to consider taking up a new hobby, or re-discovering an old one. Use the voucher to get something fun, that could be used to fill the gap.
If all else fails, get a new game for your hand held. (DS/PS3).

Thanks for the suggestion TiMow. I don't have a handheld console (in fact, the only thing I really have is an N64!), but will have a look around for something to keep me busy.

When replying to a lady, with reference to handhelds, I did feel obliged to include the bracketed quantifier (DS/PS3), for anyone who may misconstrue the meaning.
[I also still have an old N64. Back in the day, it was a case of N64 or Playstation (before we really knew), just like Betamax v. VHS).

EDIT: The above reply was written. before Nil stated the obvious - I was hoping subtlety would prevail. (But at least someone else is on my wavelength).

Re: Epilators

tried a epilator when i was 15 at a sleepover party and i cried. for legs and under arms, i shave with a really good razor, 5 blades and all that, i am a bit obsessive about smooth legs and shave every time i shower .

for the delicate areas i wait till we go to france or ny and get a good brazilian wax, they are too expensive here and after seeing the damage i had once from an eyebrow waxing i just don't trust too many people. in the meantime i just do damage control myself...hahaha.

in terms of ladies who don't shave, good for them. it doesn't really bother me to see a girl with hair at the pool or whatnot, but it's just not my style, i like a smooth leg and a trimmed garden.

if you go to lausanne globus, there are some great sales and your voucher would be very useful right now... perfumes, clothing, etc are at really good prices so it may be worth a trip if your local globus doesn't have too much.

and happy spending!!!

Re: Epilators

I almost bought one today..but wanted to make sure its decent price. The one in Globus that I liked was 189- Braun Silepil 7 for legs and body. Now, if its so painful to use other than lower legs then is it worth it? The 50 CHF was the cheapest one..that should do it? Any places anyone would suggest for waxing?
Thank you ladies.

Depends for the pain. I use it on my legs, tights, arms, armpits and bikini.

But apparently I am made of steel!

Re: Epilators

Not to confuse your already made up mind, but, when it comes down to it you really can only try. I bought one because my friend is like Nil and she would rave on about how great it was....

If I were still in CH I'd give you mine to try. It's sitting in the bottom of the bathroom cupboard. But I don't think I'll take it back with me.

PS, you are all very funny. lol. & PPS I'm sure someone can help you spend your voucher!

I guess me too, I was surprised to read everyone's comments on epilators, I've been using those contraptions since I was 12-13, for everywhere. It doesn't hurt that bad!

I think that's the thing. If I could borrow one from someone else first then fine, but I don't want to splash out on one (alright, it's a voucher, but I could spend it on something else!) only to not use it.

Re: Epilators

I checked the price online and 189 model in Globus is 100 on amazon.com. Amazon.de is not shipping to my address. So my question is will it be cheaper in Germany, France or Austria if I buy it there? Can I check somewhere? I don't feel like paying double the price!
