Re: help for buying from amazon.de
I've bought three different items from Amazon.de in the past -all V-Tech stuff. The last two were for presents this last Christmas. Although the two items were complementary, I made 2 separate orders at different times. The most expensive was about €80 and shipping (normal - faster is available at a price, but normal was only a few days anyway) was free. The second item was priced just under €20 and was subject to normal shipping fee (can't remember how much, but less than €10). Two things: I think orders over €20 are shipped free; and if I'd ordered both items together I probably wouldn't have paid any shipping.
The price shown often seems to change daily, depending on supply and demand (like some budget air tickets) - but when selected and taken to the "checkout", the price paid was always less than the listed price (I still haven't worked out their pricing system). This price includes local purchase tax, and I have never looked in claiming it back - too complicated; plus the overall price was good value, so I didn't worry.
Unfortunately, Swiss taxes (Mwst at normal rate) were payable on delivery (to the postman), plus an admin. fee (about CHF20) on the most expensive (electrical) item, but not the cheaper one.
The overall price still worked out a bit cheaper than here, but were for model variations that weren't available here in the stores.
I have no experience of their returns policy, but would imagine they have details somewhere on their site - see bottom of home page.
If in doubt contact them, even if it's in English.
EDIT: If you see the following within the details of what your looking for, it says that it is cost free delivery and return is possible:
"Kostenlose Lieferung und Rückgabe möglich".
