A friend of mine (and an active EF member) "misplaced" his wallet and his phone at my birthday. About 2 days later he collected his belongings at the police station.

presumably alone
at 2am ish
...even in safe Switzerland this doesnt sound very safe.
Mjeh, done it loads of times without problems. But of course I'm always wearing my viking helmet with two large horns out of it, so perhaps not having the look of a easy victim
