| | losing stuff on a bad, drunken night out!
Hello all!!
Okay, so I know how swiss are a lot more trust worthy than in england, and that you can leave your bike unlocked and not worry about it, and you can walk about in the night and not be petrified you'll get attacked.
So, I have a question... or more of a what the hell do i do?! :P
I had a rather messy drunken night out last thursday and ended up 'misplacing' my bike, my coat and my back pack (it didnt have my purse in luckily but the back pack and coat are worth a fair bit on their own). As i said, it was a very messy night and i ended up coming home with no bike, bag or coat and so i have no idea where they would be. I went back to the bar the next night to see if i had left it there and i hadnt which meant i would have left the bar with my coat and bag on and just taken them off in a drunken strop on the way home.
Being in switzerland, im hoping no one has nicked any of it, but more handed it in to the police.
so the question is...what are the chances of that? Is it more likely that someone would have just nicked all of it, or lived up to their trustworthy reputation and handed it to the police?
any thoughts or comments let me know!! |

(or partially by bicycle - who knows??!!)

Blimey... I got rat-arsed the other night and would you believe it, ended up coming home on a bike I don't own, in a coat that didn't fit and some old backpack hanging off my shoulder...
Remind me not to drink so much next time. | The following 6 users would like to thank Upthehatters2008 for this useful post: | |

yeah, i know, it does sound rather worrying! :P
i did take a odd turn when i got home (for some reason because really anrgy haha!), so there was thoughts my drink had been spiked. but i could just be paranoid because i had it spiked in england so im always worried it would happen again (nothing serious did happen though thank god!!). but last thursday i did drink a lot so it would be more that than anything :P
but it would normally take me say, 20 minutes on the tram. probably same on bike, not sure about walking.
I know nothing really bad happened because that i would have remembered!
but i really am curious as to where my stuff is and what i done with it! :P
would it possibly be at the local police station?

An unlocked bike will invariably be found by some drunk, taken 75% of the way home (his/her home that is) and then checked in a river.
Perhaps you stole your own bike and chucked it in a river?

hahaha!! that is a good point actually!! quite possibly you could be right!! but i think i would have thrown it in a bush rather than the river because i recall walking across the bridge with the bike into town away from the river so i think it would be more in a bush rather than the river!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago (no bag or coat though) but I don't even remember if I used the bike to get home.
Maybe it was the same pub you went to? Maybe I had my drink spiked!!! Great, it wasn't my fault, it wasn't the hugely excessive amount of alcohol I had and I can rid myself of this guilt I've been carrying for 2 years - you should be a therapist (sp?).
Best post I've read in weeks.

haha love it!!
in all fairness if i managed to have lost all of that, im bound to have lost my dignity aswell at some point!
i like the idea of getting rid of the guilt and blaming it on the 'drink being spiked'...i think i'll go with that one! :P
