Re: Purple Shampoo

Try the "John Frieda" collection (available at Coop city), no "purple" shampoo. but shampoos especially made for blonde hair (natural and dyed).

Aveda used to do a shampoo called Blue Malva, not sure is it is still available but you will be able to get it online and probably from a salon using Aveda. Good luck

Re: Purple Shampoo

Guhl do a good range of shampoos and conditioners for blondes, including the purple one, and you can buy them at the Co-Op.

Be careful how you use it -- don't use too much.

That's what I use and about the only thing I can use so my hair won't get like wires. Also available in Müller.

Re: Purple Shampoo

My hairdresser (in France as we live on the border) advised me to use that deep purple shampoo to stop my white hair going yellow. It's called REDKEN silver charge 5th avenue NYC. It was about 15Euros. Sadly I have very sensitive skin and reacted very badly (rosacea on face- took me months to get rid). I was furious as she had not warned me to do a skin test as advised- and would not give me a refund.

You need to careful how you dispose of it, though, in your location. If it drains into the lake, in the Montreux area, it is known to create smoke on the water.

My mistake -- in my hurry to create the pun I didn't check the top right profile info. (had it mind you were on Lac Leman). Doesn't really work now, does it?

I've used them too, and third the recommendation, but expect to pay Swiss VAT plus the good ol' Customs/Post "service fee", which together often makes buying this way no cheaper than buying in CH (if you can find what you want here).

Re: Purple Shampoo

I used to use, in the days I was a blonde, a few drops of Gentian Violet in the rinse water. Don`t know if it is available here from Droggeries?
It totally kills the yellow, and brings out the beautiful blonde.
