Re: Intro documentary film class

re time coding - this might be of interest to you:
http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/2011/...ther-new-toys/

i'd be interested in trying to attend if it was in Zürich but only time free this week is Thursday afternoon....

i've just bought a Nikon D7000 and would like to do more with the video... have done tons of regular camcorder filming - just family stuff - and used iMovie/iDVD to create some 40 odd DVDs with menus, slideshows, chapters, the works - and now just creating clips - but honestly not found much time of late to do it... would love to get better and move into final cut pro...

Re: Intro documentary film class

Also just to let you know, I've recently agreed to do a little commercial for the Wengen Tourismusorganisation this July.

If anybody thinks they might be interested in that as a way to work on their filming (and grip ) skills, you can PM me. I might create an event as it gets closer.

Not being Swiss, I can't accept payment for it, which means I can't give you money either, but I can offer you an IMDb credit and a few beers!

Also I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but since you guys were asking about working on somebody elses production, I thought it might be useful.

Re: Intro documentary film class

Let's do it. Basel seems to be ideal for at least 3 of us. Akolb, what do you think about meeting in Basel?

If possible, can we do it on Friday night? I have a couple of deadlines this week.

Re: Intro documentary film class

I have been on holiday for the past week with limited Internet access. I am pretty much tied up until first week in May .. How does sometime the week of May 15 work for everyone interested? I can organize a place if people don't mind meeting in Basel.

Re: Intro documentary film class

Ok seems like people would like to meet sooner than later (so I will make some time). How about Friday March 25 in Basel say at 7pm. Or the following Friday April 1st. At 7pm in Basel? If either date works let me know and I will organize a meeting place.

I'd also be interested in something like this. I'm a steadicam operator of 3 years too, and I'd love a chance to get in on the DSLR craze. I also have some friends in the Swiss video production/film industry, so I'd be happy to see if they're interested in bringing in a pro perspective.

A bit OT, but these friends recently shot this video, using only the Canon 5d DSLR cameras!
Very nice video. Quite the crew. Would like to learn more about the project. Probably via email or when we meet.

Sounds interesting. I may be interested in participating in the audio section. Have some top end wireless radios and lav mikes dying to use in a project.

I can't join on March 25th. There is Baselworld in the midst of that. I can join April 1st.

Hook it up! Send PMs. I'm on.

Re: Intro documentary film class

Hi everyone,

Ok looks like we will meet at my house. Couldn't get anything else sorted. My address is .......Please, PM for details (thanks, MC) Call if you get lost. Also I will have aome small snacks (shrimp) ... No pun intended.. And chips some beer and wine ... To help the conversation. I will also try to put some thoughts together about ideas that I am interested in and some general topics. If you have some things you would like to discuss send them my way and I will include them in the list.

See you all Friday night at 7pm.

If you could just reconfirm that you are coming I can make sure I have enough ..... "Supplies" on hand.

Thanks,
Randy Slagle

Re: Intro documentary film class

I'd be interested in a class as well. More over about the filming and whate cameras are needed process less scripting.
