Barbers

Hi all,

Is/are there any plain old barbers in Zug?

I don't want this question to appear as a moan about the cost of living in SUI. I know it's expensive and I knew this before I moved, so that's my tough luck.

However, I'd just like a quick "Number 6 on top and a 2 round the back and sides", but all the hairdressers I've seen seem to only offer >50CHF for waht seems like a "hairdressing experience".

Am I being too British and expecting something modest and simple?

thanks.

AlexS

Re: Barbers

Searching for a good barber/stylist in the Säuliamt/Zug area.

In Zurich ( Langstrasse or thereabouts ), one can get a crop for around CHF20 / 25

General Hairdresser / Barber thread, Zurich region

In Konstanz, I got mine done for EUR8

Yes. "Number 6 on top and a 2 round the back and sides" describes what in western continental Europe is worn by sheep, not by humans.

You might however get what you want at a Balkanese barber shop.

When I moved from the continent to the uk I found weird to talks to barbers in numbers. It was somehow a trial in error. Now, back to the continent, I got accustomed to ask what haircut I want. Simple i translate numbers in 2 sentences. So we got around the sheep/humans problem.
However, I m not sure 50/75 francs to express the same concept is worth it.
