Selling books - Amazon does not do Switzerland

It has been quite some time that I logged in here , and I've got a question right away.

Doing some spring cleaning, I decided to get rid of some books, most of them related to acupuncture and Chinese medicine. However, Amazon (.de AND .co.uk) do not facilitate sellers' accounts in Switzerland. I looked on Ricardo.ch and Buch.ch, but hey do not compare with Amazon.

Are there amongst you book sellers who have a sellers' account at a Swiss web shop? Your links are highly appreciated!

Many thanks,

Marcel.

Have you tried the EF library.

http://www.englishforum.ch/search2.php?q=EF+library

Or donate them to a 2nd hand shop. Alternatively you could leave them somewhere dry for people to help them themselves.

I once left a pile of books in a coffeeshop ( on the chair beside me) after finishing my coffee with a note " Please read me! "

Last night I came across 5/ 6 Microsoft/DOS books on a bench inside a friend's apartment block!

Anything is possible, though selling may have to be online.

Re: Selling books - Amazon does not do Switzerland

@MrVertigo: Amazon.de is similar to Amazon.co.uk, you need a bank account in UK, Germany, France or Austria. Just got an email from their helpdesk: "I`m sorry to tell you this but as you cannot add your Swiss or Dutch bank account it won`t be possible to register to Amazon.de Marketplace as a seller."

Very strange, since they so eagerly accept my payments from here when I [B]BUY[/B ]books from their website...

@deutschmaad: thanks for the tips, but most of the books I want to sell are not really general interest books, and most are in such condition that they resemble quite some value, still. Donating of just leaving them somewhere would be a waste...

Hav you tried
http://www.abebooks.co.uk/
I've never tried to sell through them so I don't know if they enable sellers in Switzerland but I've bought loads of second hand books from them.
