Trying to convince someone to stop smoking is not of value?
No.

The world is over populated.

Everyone dies of something, and smoking doesn't change that fact.

Why would you want to "stop one person from seeing smoking isn't worth it " ?

I thought you were against smoking. Changed your mind ?
If I want to see smoking isn't worth it, will you try and stop me ?
Yes, good spot , If I stop one person from smoking that is a good thing. You must get paid the big bucks to spot mistakes like that I bet.

Car/truck exhaust affects you and the people around you far more than smoking does. There are also far more driving related deaths and injuries than what is caused by smoking. Do you own a car?Do you take public transportation? Do your friends own cars? Perhaps you should annoy them into getting rid of them and everyone starts walking?

Being no fan of smoking, I think I can safely say that you're being a sanctimonious douche. Do you walk everywhere? Do you live in a cave? Do you not send off all your trash to be dumped in the ocean? Having tried, unsucessfully, to get my grandma (RIP) to stop smoking, the only way anyone is going to stop is to make that decision themselves. They certainly aren't going to do it at the repetitive insistence of some anonymous internet harpy.
Well at least you gave an intelligent rebuttal. Unlike others who try to say there is nothing wrong or unhealthy about smokiing. But you never know.
Btw I do walk everywhere and only produce waste that can be recycled

No real pronunciation, just random letters. You spent some time thinking of a special name for yourself. Betcha you are quite proud of it.

I haven't smoked in almost 3 years but used to be a pack-n-a-half man. Try American Spirit. Made without any chemicals, big, quality tobacco leaf and tastes better and smokes cooler and longer. They have offices in Tiefenbrunnen and are sold everywhere.

Pardon? What gives you the right to start warping my name into some cutesy mocking term? Have I sat here and called you arse instead of rrs? I may think it (in more crude, American terms that you and I both know), but I've not said it.

You wade into a thread with nothing productive to say, hijack it, insult people, and then sit back and rub your hands with glee at upsetting people and goading them on to more.

Are you that bored in London?!

Where has anyone said there is nothing wrong or unhealthy about cigaretters? People were just asking you to get off your high horse regards the OPs question. OP is likely an adult and can make their own decisions, do you really think they would have a light bulb moment after reading your posts and decide to give up? I don't think so

Are you this irritating in real life?

Re: Cigarettes. Please Help!!

I do think the OP was asking for help, which is what the forum is indeed about, therefore a personal opinion stating that smoking is bad for you ( which we all know anyway) is uncalled for. It has offended smokers and non-smokers alike.

Freedom of speech and all that............

But it is not a decision that affects jut the OP, but the environment and other people. Do you think cigarette butts don't have an affect on the environment and people's health. They are by far the most common item of litter on the world, and therir poison leeches into our groundwater etc. They are terrible for our environment. If you substitute the word poison for cigarettes, would people have the same answer. So, yes OP's decision, but when it affects me, others and the environment,I have a justified opinion to be opposed to it.

I can second the American Spirit suggestion. I know it isn't what you're looking for, but they are worth a try in the meantime. They will seem quite strange at first, but after you get used to them you'll find you smoke less, stink less, (they are far less stinky than normal tobacco), and in my case I can go from 10 a day to zero when we are on trips to see family (no smoking there), and there's no noticeable withdrawal.

They used to send a list of chemicals used in normal tobacco on request- I got one, and it filled an A4 sheet front and back from corner to corner, all of which are added essentially to get you more hooked than nicotine can do alone. Once you get used to them a regular cigarette tastes horrible.

I'm part Native American, so I can smoke without the approval of others. I also offer to share my medicinal weed with all who are interested. There.
