Mods? Could we keep it clean? Please, for the OP?

Do you want to quote me correctly, Nil? I said "me too"..... why has that been conveniently missed off your list?

Ah but you see, removing the junk would let this slip off the 'New Posts' page. There is method in my madness.
You are wiser than me, I'll follow your lead, dear Longbyt!

I did, I post your whole quote!

Here's another list

1. Suck up
2. Quote me correctly, that is a basic rule on this forum as as a "legend" I would expect you to know that.

To be fair though, 28 active users viewing the thread and it's right at the top of the New Posts list. Got to be good news for the OP that more people are aware of their stolen bike, however it stays up there, no?

Ahem... Isn't this a good time for the mods to do something "moderatey"...Surely ukal123 should be contacted and asked to respond to both the moderators and the OP as this could quickly turn into accusation and tarnish his reputation, also as i'm sure EF wants nothing to do with illegal activity and has to be a safe community for it's members if no response is forthcoming there will be no option but to pass the users ID, details and IP to the police to continue their investigation....

To be fair, I think it would be wrong for the mods to get involved. There is only speculation at this point, based on the OP's recognition of a photograph of a bike that is probably not unique.

The seller is probably doing the best thing by keeping his gob shut and not joining the thread.

The only thing the OP can do is report the theft to the police and, if the bike ever turns up, the person(s) involved will either be done for simple theft or handling stolen goods.

Thanks for some sense saint7UK.

But let me briefly explain.....

Mods are only people with the letters MOD under their name. They are, like the police, utterly useless when you need them, but will turn up within 2 minutes if you complain that someone is enjoying themselves at a party next door that you weren't invited to cos nobody likes you.

Stolen bike - No reaction
Bit of banter - 5 mods down your throat in less than 2 minutes

Is this one for Mack or Horacio?

Surely we can take DNA from the saddle and handlebars to establish the real owner.

Depends... now that EF is "owned" by The Local, they may actually have a legal responsibility to do something, as through this thread they have "knowledge or suspicion, or reasonable grounds for knowledge or suspicion" that an individual member on the forum that they own has committed a criminal offence. In most jurisdictions, it's a punishable offence in its own right to not disclose this fact and any relevant information.

Ha Ha, If you can get DNA from a bike saddle, it must belong to one of these people:

(only I don't think it will be DNA )

My point indeed... also it's "bad press" to be seen 'round and associated with such "dealings" so I think the mods do have to get involved and by mods I mean top owners/mods/coders of whom I personally have no idea of their identity or how they operate their system but our local friendly mods must know and report to

Does that mean we also have to look out for a picture of someone on a bike outside a news stand, with a rolled up copy down their shorts.

[yep ... guilty as charged]

Re: Mountain bike sold on English Forum - please help me to find the buyer and seller

My Migros M-Budget bike was stolen 2 years ago, the bell had broken off and it only had one pedal.

Fairly distinctive, easy enough to find.

If anyone has bought it off anyone on here, can you let me know, cos I would like to laugh at you, you mug.

I don't think anyone would own up to riding an illegal bike.

Why do all your bikes have a pedal missing? Is it cos of your massive troll feet?
