Btw my PM has some kind of cap on it so I can't reply to people who recently PMed me.

OK then if you want to invest in a serious business proposition you can PM me. I don't want just cash, I want somebody passionate who wants to make a difference (but also has some cash). Life changing it will be.

The born bachelor. Invest your money in buying a flat. Property is still a wise investment here in Switzerland.

Thanks for the compliment. Did you use real dog nose to smell or the cartoon dog nose in your avatar?

I am still waiting for your advice. Should I start a new thread about how Post Finance's lack of banking license could impact our savings?

Seb, I have sent you a Private Message.
The risk, whatever the paperwork claims, as with all changes, is going to be higher than before. Round the world, when things go bang, it is better to have multiple small accounts rather than one large balance. Things like per account cash withdraw limits can appear overnight. This happened in England, Ireland, Iceland in the last two years, either explicitly, or due to "technical issues". If post finance imposed a 5K per month withdrawal limit in the face of mass withdrawals, as say the SNB bought Euros like there was no tomorrow to make, say Swiss exports more competitive, no-one would bat an eyelid. You would be totally stuffed though if you wanted to move 10% to Gold. It would take you best part of a year!

My idea would be to open a second account with the ZKB. Their reinvestment in done in low risk products, and if Postfinance is privatised like has been done in other countries, you have choices.

If you at some later stage choose to get a mortgage through ZKB (again a "risk averse" bank, backed by the Kanton), you may be in a position to negotiate a more optimal rate.

If you are even thinking that the bank might fold, like some have done in the past...
*deep sigh*..

try letting go.. it might be fun

Post a screenshot proving you have the savings you claim and people might be more willing to help you out.

You naturally dense? I have already got 11 pages worth of help along with genuine PMs. Some funny Nigerian scam type PMs and emails too.

Let me get this right, if I make a scan of my bank statement then you would believe me? Why would I share personal bank statement online  If I blacked out all the personal info from the scan then you would still say it is fake anyway. By the way what gave you the idea that I would want to prove anything to you?

Here someone posted my bank statement online and saved me the trouble  Pssttttt!

Re: Reevaluating my life and need advice please.

All you have to do is screenshot your online banking statement and blank out any details you don't want anyone to see. Someone can easily run it through software which checks if it has been edited in photoshop or not. All you have to do is select the personal details in paint and click delete.

Alternatively take a picture of your latest bank statement with a camera, blank out the details but allow your balance to be visible. It would be almost impossible to convincingly edit the bank statement if the picture is taken with your camera.

I simply don't believe you have this much money. You don't have to prove you do to anyone. But if you want to add some legitimacy to this thread then it would be a good idea. Also by posting the bank statement with information blanked out you aren't actually giving anymore information than is already in this thread.

Regardless, this thread has excellent information for people who actually have that sort of money.
