Re: Mountain bike sold on English Forum - etc. ..... QUESTIONS?

Ref. this thread: Mountain bike sold on English Forum - please help me to find the buyer and seller

and this post today from Longbyt:

"The two parties, ukal123 and lssilva have been in contact with each other. They have come to an agreement. The bike is safely back in the hands of the original, rightful owner. Hopefully, the bike is also safely locked up and bearing a new vignette."

I, probably like others who followed this and contributed, appreciate the update, but, I'm sorry, you can't throw this into the mix and keep the thread closed - there are too many wundernase's amongst us, I'm sure.

Many questions to be answered and reputations to be maintained/upheld.

- what were the circumstances?
- how was one in a position to sell a bike that was not legitimately acquired?
- what bribes took place or deals made?
- were there fisticuffs or police handcuffs involved?
- should we keep an eye open for certain items offered on the market place?

[just thinking out loud]
I think we need an English forum Enforcer! Maybe even an English forum police!

A cockney might argue, that you're a bit of one, already.

How? ????????????????????????

..... without trawling for the relevant quote(s) - put simply - the circumstances surrounding the initial acquisition (revised and regurgitated a few times already) was sufficient to qualify, in my book. If it were me recounting a similar story to my old mates, I can already hear their voices in my head: "You complete and utter banker".

The nosyness of EFers never ceases to amaze me
I believe this goes beyond nosiness (although I was interested to find out more).
If Longbyt hadn't posted an update on the original closed thread, I for one would have been content in my ignorance, but glad she did.
With this update, I felt it beneficial for the readers to learn more and for ukal123 to have further opportunity to add to what he had previously written, in light of this latest update.

This I hoped would benefit all, especially if ukal123 hopes to offer goods for sale, in the future.

Best thread ever....Super.....thumbs up

BTW. How do I convince my wife, that letting me clean her in front of the house on a busy Saturday morning when other men are walking by with their wives, could be a good idea?

Oh my God!

The steriliser I am giving for free comes from Mimi.... Who gave it to me for free!

Now, I should have ask for a receipt since I have no idea from who she got it.... It might be the Hooker downstairs? And if that Hooker got it from one of her client who has a broken german accent?

I'm still waiting for the laptop. Or has your supplier let you down again/been caught/send down for five years?

Anyway - it's great to be living next to a reputable dealer in stolen goods. Good fences make good neighbours.
