| | Lost Mountain bike
Ok, since the topic of missing/found mountain bikes is up and active, I figure I can share my story.
A month or so ago I was riding my bike from Albisriederplatz towards the path to Triemli (Freidhof). Unfortunately I took a wrong turn as after 15 mins of riding, I realized I wasn't near the path entrance. This point I got a flat back tire. I locked up the bike, then took a cab home.
Issue is I have no clue where I locked it up. So if anyone sees a red/black trek low end mountain bike with a flat back tire, let me know. About a 15 mins radius on bike from Alblisriederplatz.
It's in pretty rough shape (drunk commuter bike) with Judy front suspension, back-rack, and mud guards. Very generic, but I figure I'd throw it out there

I'm thinking we should set up a "Lost and found" section or "crimebusters" section on EF
Seriously though, good luck finding your bike. |

On my drive to work from Moenchaltorf to Uster by the last roundabout there's a bike that's been standing there for weeks.
There's a good chance yours might still be there too, wherever that is |

hahaha--that's hilarious! I would freak out if it was a car and not my back-up bike.
I spend happy afternoon searching around for it, but it was also the first warm afternoon, so everyone was out on bikes....quite the lost cause

I appreciate the 'thanks' from Basher, but I actually miss that bike.
At one point I was up to a good six bikes at various states of repair which I planned to lock up randomly around Zurich for rides home when needed.
This was my first one, and it saved me many a cab fare home. Once I lost it, I went to fix the next one up to working order, but apparently all other 5 had been removed from outside my appartment, along with the 5 decent locks securing them.
So now I have 18 keys and no commuting bikes!

If I was living in a communal block I might get pissed of with the 6 commuter bikes that were locked to the railing and taking up space in the bike racks ... and they were never used.
What if everyone in the apartments did that ? 20 people living there and 120 bikes ....

Yes, I did lose my bike when I was pissed, but I did spend a good 4 hours looking for it already, isn't back yet.
Although my rail-hogging seems extreme, that bike racks area actually have room for over 30, and is never even half full. But then again, I'm notorious for using and abusing, if I was worried about pssing off my neighbors I wouldn't live there |

Can you not borrow a bike, ride to Albisriederplatz, drink several strong beers and then try to ride to Triemli?
You should find your bike in about 15 minutes.
Then just lock up your friend's bike and take yours....

Small ad in this week's Fridolin (Glarner free paper): | Quote: | | | | Hallo, I am still searching for my ladies' bicycle,
light blue metallic, 28 speed, silver straight handle bars, old model, recently serviced (disappeared in Ennenda).
Has anyone seen this bicycle? Please get in touch!
On the search for my bicycle I have found and given to the Glarus police station the following bikes:
Ladies' bicycle (lavender), men's bicycle (grey), a very special large ladies' bicycle (black).
For information telephone: XXX XXX XX XX | | | | | Any of those look familiar? |

unfortunately not, but the "very special large ladies' bicycle" does oddly ring my fancy. Don't know why though.

after reading through your interpretation possibilities list: I am happily (oddly) OK with any of those options. Still don't know why though.

I'm actually at work right now, However, about 8 hrs ago, that's definitely a possibility. |
