Big Feet - where can I find larger shoe sizes?

My son has large feet for his age, size 49, age 14, which is becoming quite a problem when searching for new shoes. I was told there is a specialist shop in Bern catering for very small and very large sizes. Does anyone know what it is called or where it is. Any advice gratefully received.

Re: Big Feet

Can't answer your Q. directly, but are you familiar with Jeckelmann - just up the road in Tafers. They're a bit more than just a shoe shop, and do ortho' inserts, so there is a small chance they may carry larger sizes, as well.

May be worth a phone call to ask.

Re: Big Feet

The MBT store has a few styles in a size 49. I can imagine a specialist store would be just as expensive. Some sports shops have that size of trainers as well.

I am the same size and get all my shoes from the UK.
