And do you think that your Swiss friend was angry because you inferred that she fitted the stereotype of Swiss women?
And ... does DjRobin know that you are using his/her account??!! |

Nah, some stereotypes are true: This thread for example proves that all english speakers are stereotypers. And that is a fact.

you know the trick is in imposing your will/ways/views, in such a manner that your partner believes that it is his will/ way / view | The following 2 users would like to thank Panther for this useful post: | |

I have to admit... I also wasn't sure if you were purposefully being ironic. But, after all... I am American and tend to not pick up on sarcasm very easily.

I think we both accept each other in entirety with the mutual lack of understanding for each others sporting preferences.

The other funny thing is, it is only her that is allowed to get frustrated or critisise the Swiss way of doing things
Maybe it is lost in translation but I do not know one Swiss couple where the man is the dominant (a few are equal or nearly) , decision making one in the relationship. This is the natural way here and as a Swiss woman gets older this becomes more prominent. Given that Swiss schooling is not female friendly (ie hard for a woman to have a job with kids coming home for lunch) and most school teachers are women, boys here are raised as their mothers want a boy to be - quiet and dosile and not question the status quo, Swiss men carry this training with them their whole life. Sadly a lot of the Western world is following suit in the school teacher stakes, very few males, they can not be trusted with children so the school systems are designed by women, to be taught by women who think everyone learns like they do, except the 50% of the pupils who are boys!! I am not antiwomen just annoyed with fearmongering (mostly from Media) about the dangers of Pedofiles (who are nearly all men) so then all men must stay away from children.......... so far off topic I think I will groan myself!!
