Well, its good that you are going about this with the correct attitude.

The Rules
1) The woman is always right.
2) If she is ever wrong, refer to rule 1.

Simple really.

You forgot Rule 3:

Re: Swiss German women.

Spot on. She is ridiculously stubborn but we do discuss everything major together and most of the time our decisions are pretty balanced. I have stood firm on a few things I felt strongly about and she never ceases getting a remark in to remind me...it has to be said I am pretty laid back over most day to day things and I do quite like winding her up over how stubborn she can be.

As the saying goes opposites attract

Re: Swiss German women.

Maybe I'm just an insolent prick..but I wouldn't be with a woman who'd have to impose her ways/views upon me. In addition, if I'm with someone, it's because the person and I have a common understanding of matters and won't come to disagreement over major issues.

Requires
a. to find such a person
b. ensuring neither of you change/mature during your time together

Re: Swiss German women.

Well, my husband is Swiss German, and he's probably one of the most stubborn and highly-opinionated people I've ever known. (He's Italian by blood but was born and raised here). But his stubbornness comes more in the form of "the Swiss way is always the right way." I guess I just find it a little strange when someone has NOTHING bad to say about their own political system or culture, etc.

But I've always been a bit curious if Swiss women are really as unapproachable as they often seem.

Sadly, every issue is a major one, as far as women are concerned.

I too find Swiss women unapproachable and would be interested to hear if anyone knows to the contrary.

I can sympathise with the stubborn husband - however, mine is German and does not have a good word to say about his country.
