Hi! I´m moving to Lugano. I want to know if there´s restrictions on collecting butterflyies in Ticino canton? is it okay to collect them there?

Collect as in create a meadow at home for them , or collect as in pinning them to a trophy board and displaying your kills ?

Same question. I have my bil here who used to do it in the 50s and 60s - but he has moved on to photographing them - a lot better for all involved.

Trying to get a good "shot" with a camera is much more satisfying for your hunter/killer instincts! It takes a bit of skill and patience too.

If you collect some not so rare ones, it doesn´t really matter if you collect them, it´s not going to affect on population at all
