I am obsessed with Harry Potter. If you are not, you probably won't understand the desperation in this post.

Anyway, I'll be in Zurich when the last movie comes out. Does anyone know where I can watch it in English? (Preferably at midnight on the day it's released.... )

(Alternatively if someone can teach me German by then that would be fine too )

Look in the movie listings, if an "E/d/f" is posted next to the listing that means it is in English and subtitled in German and French. Most of the major releases should have this available in multiple theaters in Zurich.

HP fans are just as *ahem* mad as elsewhere, so it is highly likely that the original version will be available in English on the day of release. Indeed, I recall being able to breeze into a book shop and pick up the English version of the books, without fuss or queueing, while there were shortages in the UK...

We've caught the past 2 HP movies here in Zurich on its worldwide opening day. No midnight showings though. This isnt London.

I guess I'll have to leave my Harry Potter themed costume at home, it might stick out during the day time.

Well, most major releases have several shows and I saw quite a few of them at 11:30PM, but that was on a weekend and since the new HP movie is releasing on July 15 (Friday) I'm pretty sure you can catch a midnight show (well 11:30).

The Abaton cinema next to the train station in Hardbrücke plays most big blockbusters in English, with good quality seats. One/two different movies every week. Usually starts at 20h30 (have only seen evening films in English).

Last Harry Potter was shown, so I am sure the new one will be shown too.

(no one will get me inside to see Harry Potter though...)

They sometimes have a "sneek peak". If you want to keep you eyes peeled for that, I'd recommend looking at Kitag.
