I wonder if she had occasion to use one of Neuchâtel's famous squat toilets?

If you scroll down to the post with the link to the newspaper article you can see the same photo.

It's probably not worth getting too excited over though

It's hardly been published and EF or Bertrand are hardly making money out of it. Perhaps something less confrontational like putting your name in a watermark would have been a better idea.

The picture isn't a work of art and looks like it was taking with a point and shoot from 10 years ago...so maybe you don't want you name associated with it.

You must be the first photographer who doesn't want his work to be shown to others

And heaven forbid any paps see the "Thinking man's crumpet" and the "Thinking woman's crumpet" threads. We'd all be in a heap of trouble.

I have generally gone with the principle that if the picture is not locked to prevent saving it is OK to use it for non-commercial purposes as long as the source is acknowledged. That may have been the issue. It was copied without reference to the source. I don't think that copying a link to the original site should ever present problems.

Oh please - I'm all for copyright protection, but don't be so precious.
No ones making any money out of your shot on this website & you've been paid for it's use in Le Matin which is free for us to link to.

Plus, it's hardly a work of creative genius is it? It's not as if it's even of that much merit as a pap snap, tbh.

All of this is based, of course, on the presumption that photo66 actually is the photographer who owns the picture, and not some random busybody from the internet.

In the Le Matin article, there are the initials DR next to a little copyright symbol. That should be sufficient. Me thinks the photographer doth protest overmuch.

It looks a bit like something that would feature in "Wedding Photographers From Hell" or something.
Remind me not to hire him for our kids' portrait pics
