...Again, if anyone wants to send me an e-mail message/photo to include in the condolence book (A5 format), feel free to do so, if you are not too good on designing stuff, let me know what you had in mind and I'll try and create something suitable (within reason, I'm no graphics designer). You could also write something by hand and scan it, I have access to a top of the range laser colour printer until Friday, 17.00 hours. The mail address to send the stuff to (sorry mods, I'll delete the address later on) is mailthekitty@yahoo.com (no laughing at the silly address, it's from a long time ago ).

So far I have received an e-mail from swissotter and will check tonight if Bertand's letter is in my letterbox.
Thanks kittster - you're a star! ( and sorry for my incoherent emails )
FYI : kittster is a brilliant designer, incase anyone else was thinking to send her a mail too.

Kittster it's perfect.... the delicately chosen words seem to very well represent the deep emotion present on EF.

Slaphead, Mr & Mrs Cmirsky, Isa & fiancé, Lost-in-broad, Grumpygrapefruit, Kittster.. you guys are exceptional.

Though you constantly shy away from any kind of thanks, it really needs to be said:

By your various different actions, you've brought comfort.
You're special and you've made a real difference.

Ok, here's my suggestion for the cover page and I wrote a little note to be printed on the first page before all the posts start. Is this ok with everyone? I know it's very black and white but I didn't want to distract from the beautiful photo.
Thankyou thats very Beautiful.

Re: Remembering Begga

Ok, so partly thanks to forum downtime (again...) of about an hour it's quite late now and I have to work tomorrow. Despite lots of editing and cutting, I've got over 200 pages (Initially was about 500, so lots of taking out things, like removing the thanks/groan buttons). Would someone mind having a look through what I have and help edit? I didn't want to offend people by taking out too many posts... Am off to bed now but if you could pm me an address I could send either document to (I have two, one from the mourning the loss thread and the other from this thread), that would be great.

The two docs look different because my work computer and home computer have different ideas of what copy paste means...

Thank you Sky.... I want to add that there are many others who are working directly with the family this past week...who are unmentioned, providing places to stay, food, comfort, driving, providing emotional, physical and spiritual support... please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well...

None of us expect, or want thanks or gratitude.... I know that all of us would have rather been doing other things this past week, and the weeks to come.... But it has truly been a blessing to see how this community has come together in this time of tradgedy and sorrow... We are all in this together... we are all a family...

Thank you cmirsky, I'm afraid I can't contribute financially or by coming to Basel so I felt I could do this instead. I'll catch up on my sleep tonight...

JLF has offered to help editing, thank you very much for that.

Re: Remembering Begga

Just popped over the border to Germany to get a box of Aspirin Cardio.

Chemist said, "In Germany it's called Aspirin Protect, but its the same thing."

And it came to mind that Begga worked in the dept. that handles international registration of the different names under which Bayer pharmaceuticals are sold.

Re: Remembering Begga

JLF just finished her editing - she was at it all day, so a big thank you for that.

She suggested that I finish the book with a closing message too and we've decided on the following quote:
"What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us." - Helen Keller

Re: Remembering Begga

Here's an idea what the finished product is like - I hope you don't mind the "office" binding but I guess you have to improvise. I told my boss what I was busy doing and he was upset to hear what had happened, wishing me and Begga's friends and family much strength.

Great and wonderful book. Thanks to you and to JLF to have done it.

And it's a nice wish from your boss.
