Me again - would anyone like to make a cover sheet for the booklet? I was going to take the same photo as was put on the accident site (if I may, slaphead) and add some sort of title but I'm somehow stumped for what to say. Maybe just "English Forum Remembers Begga"? Or something different? I know we have lots of creative people on here, now's your time to shine!

I think that a simple title such as you suggested is just fine.
Agreed. Simple is better.

Ok, so I'm thinking about how to do the thread booklet (i.e. a booklet with a printout from these threads), there are some lovely posts from both this thread and the other one, how do you suggest I best do it? Just do a "best of" for both threads and leave out all the "admin" bits or include everything? I was going to do the former but I don't want to offend anyone by going out on a limb.
Most excellent idea... I feeel it really would capture how people feel, at the time they are thinking it... Thank you Kittster.

No Offense, I wrote it was a stupid idea and I agree with you..... (would have been just a picture of a candle, something like that)

but I needed to write it.

(I have to say that what has happened has disturbed me more than I could have imagined.)
It was worth mentioning. I don't think that it would be our place to add this. It may be something that her family choose to do.

Personally, I prefer to remember Begga in a nicer place than the accident site. Possibly where she went for many happy BBQs with her friends in Basel or some other EF social site.

I wonder if it would be possible to get something permanent (plaque/bench/something else) installed on Kraftwerkinsel?

How about a BBQing spot (with plaque)?

I'm sad that I never was able to make it to one of "her" BBQs...

Re: Remembering Begga

Ms Begga deserves permanent recognition in the city she lived in, if not at the accident spot, then at least in one or more places she used to frequent. The latter might be indeed easier to arrange.

I don't even know what bumping is.....
It's the writing of "Bump" into a reply with no other comments.

It bumps the thread up to the top of the list again (and makes it appear on the first page).

Not to be encouraged, generally, but we have a special case here. Everyone's hurting, I guess that's why it's being tolerated.

Re: Remembering Begga

Ok, here's my suggestion for the cover page and I wrote a little note to be printed on the first page before all the posts start. Is this ok with everyone? I know it's very black and white but I didn't want to distract from the beautiful photo.

Re: Remembering Begga

I changed "feelings and memories" to "thoughts and memories" as I have "feeling" at the end of the same sentence. I'm odd about that sort of stuff.

Still perfect. Just a thought--on that second page where you wrote those kind words, do you think we should sign it (real name with an aka of our forum name)? This would help the family to piece together the things they have seen on facebook as well as here... put names with faces and such.

And of course, not everyone has to sign, but the people who wanted to could. Just an idea.

I was thinking about it, especially would like to credit Slaphead for his beautiful picture, just not sure how to do it?

They (the family) know already that it is his photo, so from that side I think you are covered. Otherwise, just a footnote on the inside cover, saying when and where the photo was taken, and at that point you can also add who by. (Sorry, that's my "professional" opinion )

Alternatively ask him.

You can put in small font on the bottom left hand side of the photo: "Photo courtesy of Slaphead". It looks pretty light there, so you can use black font relatively easily in that location. I also like Carlos R's suggestion of putting it on the inside cover with relevant details of when and where it was taken and by whom. Credit is always good to give...

Nope, won't have it - it's about Begga, and not about a lucky snap I got one day. But thanks for the thought.

My 5 raps: I do think it is worth saying when the photo was taken..., i.e. just the date.
