Trace of a bag-strap on my white polo T-shirt

Hi

Couple of days since I've been wearing my new bag, I realized that the black strap of this bag has left a mild rectangular trace on my white polo T-shirt. It didn't go away by washing so I was wondering if anybody knows a solution? e.g any special chemical solvent to use or sth ? or if you know of any place in Zurich that I can fix it there at a reasonable price (for obvious reasons, otherwise I'd rather buy a new one!), I'd be very grateful to know about it.

Re: Trace of a bag-strap on my white polo T-shirt

Have you tried spraying the patch with Vanish before washing it? If not, the brand is bright pink so you cannot miss it. Dampen the patch, apply the spray and then wash. It is very effective.

If it doesn't come out, try carrying your bag on the other shoulder for a while so it leaves a matching mark. It will look like it's meant to be there...

Re: Trace of a bag-strap on my white polo T-shirt

try soaking the top first in a little bleach!! as long as it is white only, then wash as normal,, or the vanish option is very good for bright whites.

Spray & wash!

Very good and effective product. I have nothing up to today that resisted this product. You'll find it at Migros in a pink bottle.

Spray generously, wait a couple of hours. Wash.

Come back to tell me about it!

Try Nicola's advice or nail polish remover that contains acetone.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.....there is a Swiss equivalent here by Scotch maybe? You can get them in the cleaning aisle. They work wonders for white purses/bags and shoes as well.

There are different types for different type of colored clothes. Try the spray on one that's specifically used for stains on white clothes.

Re: Trace of a bag-strap on my white polo T-shirt

That looks similar (maybe the Swiss equivalent) - the one I actually use is:

www.vanish.co.uk/index.html

LIB is in retail so may be able to advise you as to whether these are the same product.

If everything fails then dye it black ...... black is the new black (so I'm told).

Gryncho, do I detect some jealousy, just because I know how to take care of myself and tie my own shoes?!

On a more serious note..I've got a wall full of white tees, that I like to keep pristine clean.

Yeah, I can only imagine, that it's not the only thing that you can't see when looking down.
