Vax/ rug doctor hire for rug cleaning

Hi All,

i've got a few rugs which are in need of being brought back to their forner glory but i've not see anything heavy duty enough to get all the muck out of them.

in the UK i could either hire a vax carpet cleaner which shampoo's the carpet and sucks the gunk out. another brilliant one was a Run Doctor but I've not come across there here.

http://www.rugdoctor.co.uk/

http://www.vax.co.uk/offers/product/Multifunction-6131T

anyone have any suggestions of where i can hire something to get these rugs clean. I only probably need to hire something for half a day.

thanks

I assume you are talking about area rugs. I can recommend the TUBA clean machine you can hire at COOP Bau and Hobby. You can download the English instructions on line.
They have a weekend rate, 35 chf I think, plus you need to buy the correct shampoo. The machine is easy to use. I recently hired one to clean all the door mats. It is important to vacuum the carpets first, otherwise the machine will get clogged.

You can also have a company called Terlinden clean the rugs for you. They will pick them up at your home if you wish. Obviously this is the more expensive option but depending on the type of carpet you might want to consider this. One of the problems with cleaning rugs at home yourself is where to dry them properly.
