Best Swiss hair straightening irons.

Okay, I started by searching previous threads and my question is slightly different.

I need to buy a new flat iron/straightening iron/fer lisser les cheveux in the Lausanne area. I prefer to buy it in a brick and mortar store.

I've seen ads come to the house for Babyliss flat irons. Does anyone have personal experience with these? I have used Chi and Solia in the past--would something like this compare in quality? Alternatively, do you know of a good brand available locally? Not looking to spend above 100 CHF, if possible.

XOXO,
Tearley

Re: Best Swiss hair straightening irons.

No idea what kind of hair you have, but if it's very thick, very curly or very long.. I would suggest a GHD. I had a babybliss a few years ago and after about 6 months it died on me, while I was doing my hair...

Although my hair is very long, very thick and very curly but still.....

My GHD has been going strong for about 4 years now

Re: Best Swiss hair straightening irons.

I have had a Babyliss for 4 yrs and it is still going strong. I have curly hair and straighten it every other day.

But.... not all Babyliss are created the same, I have used them at friends, or at my sisters and I find it they are too wide they dont straighten as well. The upside is they come with a warranty and I did send one back (about 6yrs ago in the US) and got a new one to replace it.
