Small Nameplate for Mailbox

Hi,

does anybody have any idea where I could get a nameplate made up somewhere around Zürich to stick on my mailbox??

I'm renting a room from the landlord and they've been a little slow getting the mailbox nameplate changed so it seems easier to get a small magnetic one made up as someone else appears to have done.

Ideally (essentially?) it needs to have a black background with white lettering...

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!

Try MisterMinit. They have outlets in almost all major stations / malls.
Be sure to know the exact size that you want. Better measure it beforehand.
When I went there and got queried about the size, I said the "default" one.
Now that was not the kind of look that I expected when I said that.

Re: Small Nameplate for Mailbox

If your mailbox is inside or in a sheltered location (i.e. where it won't get rained on) just write your name on a piece of paper and stick it up there with cellotape. Color scheme is not important, it just has to be clearly readable.

If the landlord/neighbor complains (mine never did, probably as it's so obviously a temporary measure), assure them you will take it down the minute your official nameplate arrives - but until then, you live there and you need to be able to receive mail there.

Exactly. If you have one made yourself, you might end up with two and the landlord will still send you a bill for his version, even when you don't need it anymore.

Perfect - worked a treat!

Went into the one in Sihl City yesterday and they made one up for me in an hour (20 CHF in case anyone else is in the market for one - about 2cm by 7cm).

Thank you very, very much!
