Re: Single for a year now - close to giving up!

ok now how can someone be desperate after having been single for JUST ONE YEAR!? as if this was a long time
(I was single for 3 years before I met my hubby and didn't see it as a very long time - since I wanted to find that special someone and not just someone in order not to be alone).

musicchick, show me mistletoe decorated areas in Switzerland, this custom doesn't exist here

I just find it funny that a guy can date 30 girls and say they're all nuts cause they didn't want to meet him again instead of considering that HE might be the problem..

It does here, and you can easily buy (or even find) the real stuff.

Give up and enjoy the life you have around you. Many people are happier without partners. Have you ever seen a sad nun?

(By taking the pressure off of looking for a partner, you can start focusing on yourself and become an even more fantastic person. A person you really like. And maybe, just maybe, someone will be able to connect with that fantastic person and a relationship based on heart stopping love, honesty, transparency, trust, gobs of laughter and incredible sex will finally have a chance.)

Wow this post has taken on a life of its own!

In reference to the above. No, a year is not a long time. I'm actually very happy as a single and have had several periods in life being single. It's more a case of the specific situation. The reference to being 'close to giving up' was about being in CH, not just about being single for 12 months. Normally that wouldn't be an issue. But I think I was feeling it more becuase my 'natural' environment for dating didn't exist.

But anyway...I'm pleased to add that I have now had a few dates...nothing has come of them but I am at least feeling like I'm 'in the zone' again

Re: Single for a year now - close to giving up!

Go to a comedy show; they're pumping full of happy chicks, laughing out loud, drinking gin and tonic. Girls like to laugh. It leads to dancing.

If you can't pull at a comedy show, you need to clean the Ragu off your shirt.

See the commercial calendar for details.

Jajajaja its called pre selection, a girl always gonna see a man better if he was previously selected or chosen by another girl...
Another explanation is the girl just want to prove herself that she is better than that girl, and the way to prove it is to steal her bf...
