Suggestions on thank you gift

We are expecting our first baby in about a month, and as we moved here in December and have no family around, my boss and his wife have been absolutely amazing with lending us a bunch of things for the baby. Strollers, moses basket, car seat, clothes, etc - saving us tons of money and in reality allowing us to be able to have so many things we never would have been able to get. We would very much like to get them something as a thank you, but really don't know what. Willing to spend a bit of money on this one - thinking in the CHF 300 range...

Any ideas?? Their main hobby is their 4 year old son, so no leads that way, but my boss does travel quite a bit so something that lets them spend time together would be one option - I just don't know much about Switzerland yet to have any ideas.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Offer to babysit their son and send them out to a prepaid dinner in a good restaurant?

Re: Suggestions on thank you gift

I was going to suggest sending them out to dinner as well, but Starbug's idea of offering to babysit as well is a brilliant one! I've got plenty of friends with little ones of around the same age, and despite how much they love their little nippers, they also like the odd night off.

I'm sure there are plenty of great recommendations for where to go for dinner, but for a nice dinner for two in about that price range, one of my favourite Zurich restaurants is the Lindenhofkeller. It's a small enough place that you could easily phone ahead, leave them with a credit card number, and have everything taken care of discreetly.

I love Starbug's idea.

Or, alternatively, I would buy them a couple of kilos Mercur's plain chocolate covered almonds. That would really please me, if I was on the receiving end.
