Snow in NZ and SA - that will learn them, lol.

Friends and relatives love to say how lovely and warm it is when we are freezing here in winter. Come uppance, lol.

Put it down to global warming. We all know that hot air rises, and all the heat has come up to the northern hemisphere, making the south cool. Obvious really.

They really are buggers about bragging about the warm weather aren't they?! I feel bad bragging about our warm sunny days here when they are freezing but they don't seem to care about hurting my feelings

This winter has been the coldest in CT by far... even worse in JHB

At least I have some practice in layering my clothing for when I head up North

South Africa:

They don't have central heating in their houses. It's really not like here at all. We cruise into our gorgeously warm homes and they freeze their toes off.

Also don't forget those living in informal settlements. A couple of pieces of corrugated iron sheets for walls and a roof. Not sure how those will hold out against any snow let alone heavy snow.
