| | Wedding help- Basel
Hi everyone!
So, I need help... really... I'm going to get married next month and I was going to do my invitation's wedding in Spain but I won't have enough time and I don't know where to find printers(?) here. Any idea?
Besides that, if someone can recommend me a good restaurant in Binningen it would be awesome. We are going to be 11 (including me and my fiancé) so it doesn't need to be anything posh, just a sweet nice place.
Thanks in advance for all your help
Alexandra

I made my own invitations. I bought golden flecked thick paper on a papeterie (any small village should have one), chose a pretty font type (avoid Comic Sans), and printed it with a common Epson. One paper made 2 invitations. I used a thin ribbon, also bought in the papeterie, to make a simple decoration on the side.
If it is too much work for you, a big copy center should have invitations possibilities.

I have made invitations in the past by printing on vellum, a thick, semi-opaque paper, then cutting the printed vellum to be slightly smaller than the dimensions of a piece of blank, colored card stock. I then punched two holes through the top of both sheets, a couple of cm apart, and threaded a piece of ribbon through the holes to attach the two. The invitations were very elegant-looking as well as economical.
Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful wedding and future together! | This user would like to thank Textoch for this useful post: | |

| | Re: Wedding help- Basel Alexandra21, by chance I had to go to the local papeterie today. They actually have wedding invitation printing services. Some are pre-printed text (in this case German) but you could also place orders. They take about 1,5 weeks to finish though.
I would really advise you to check the closest papeterie as soon as possible to make sure you get it ready in time for the wedding. Basel is a big city and if something as tiny as the city I work in has such things, I bet in Basel is easier to find.
I have to tell you though, making the invitations yourself is a lot of fun! Specially when your guests come to you during the wedding just to tell you "you know, the invitation was so beautiful, and so obviously hand made, I am keeping it as a souvenir!"
Have a wonderful wedding day!

If you are having a small wedding (9 guests?) then could you not just hand-write/design some nice cards yourself and send those out, rather than getting things printed? (sorry, I am a bloke, so dont know much about these sort of things).
Regarding venues for the meal, in spite of living in Binningen, to my shame I am yet to eat out there. However, if I was having my wedding dinner in Binningen, I would opt for Schloss Binningen - plus the grounds there will be pretty for photos. http://www.schlossbinningen.ch/
In any event, congrats on the upcoming nuptials.

Thank you, everybody
We are only going to have 9 guests but my fiancé wants to give an invitation to all the family, even if they can't make it so that means like 80 invitations, sigh...
@Helm: I'm going to check in the papeteries, thanks a lot for letting me know that
@Foxinthesnow: I'll look the website right away!
@Textoch: i'll remeber your advice in case I need to do another invitations in the future, thanks!
