Air conditioner rental? [ZH]

Not sure whether to post this in wanted or not - I need to know where I can hire a small postable air conditioner in Zurich?

I'm 39.5 weeks pregnant and extremely concerned about this apparently ongoing heatwave affecting my newborn, especially as our house is largely glass and averages five or six degrees higher than outside at the best of times. There is overwhelming evidence that overheating newborns increases the risk of SIDS.

So : does anyone know where I can hire an AC in central Zurich? Would also be happy to buy one but think the cost is fairly prohibitive.

Re: Air conditioner rental? [ZH]

I Googled Vermietung Zürich Klimaanage and this came up - together with a couple of other sites.

Failing that, check out tips for cooling houses and flats on here. Mist spraying, leaving tiled floors damp etc. helps a bit. As the baby will doubtless have you out of bed in the night anyway, you can open windows when the air is coolest but afterwards do ensure that all blinds and windows are closed on the 'sunny side' before the sun gets to them.

Hope all goes well with all of you.

Why not buy a portable one? we did it few weeks back, for 400CHF just yesterday was the money worth. Look at Conforama or Otto's, they are usually cheaper.
