and so the hunt for the green bin begins!

Hey all!

Okay so, Iím moving flats in October (finally, YAY!) and I can finally start making it feel like home. Now I have decided that I want a lime green themed kitchen. For example lime green kettle or cups and bowls and a lime green kitchen BIN!

I got this idea when i went to office world the other day and seen (as sad as it sounds) the nicest lime green kitchen bin i have ever seen in my life. Of course being female i wanted it straight away. Until i looked at the price... 299CHF!!! Now as much as i loved that bin and would love to have that kind of money to spend on it, i cant. Itís just a tad tooooo expensive for me!

So I have set myself a challenge...I am on the hunt for a LIME GREEN KITCHEN BIN!!! that of course is a lot cheaper than the other one. It has to be in the two digit mark, preferably not over 80CHF as I can imagine my boyfriend not being a happy bunny spending any more than over 50CHF on a bin... (pft men just donít get it! :P)

So, besides ikea does anyone know of anywhere i could find a lime green bin? I live in Basel and tried a few shops but no luck so far. Even though it is a sad little challenge i have set myself, a lil helping hand is needed! :P

so if anyone knows anywhere i could find my lil lime green bin it would be much appreciated!

thanks!

But...but...but...ALL kitchen bins in Switzerland are hidden under the sink, so you wouldn't see it.

And anyway, Lime Green??

Good luck, I spent 2 months looking for an inexpensive flip top bin before I gave up!
However in Globus (I think) in july I did see lime green bin but dustbin style the kind you would keep outside in the uk, made of metal and painted.

Re: and so the hunt for the green bin begins!

Two weeks ago I visited this shop www.depot-online.com in Zurich and found lots of lime green stuff to send to my sister, whose kitchen is that weird colour too. I don't specifically remember bins, but you could give it a try.

Sounds like a bargain. Have you not seen the price of the bin bags.
